The Cross-Country (XC) Seat features a sloped cantle with no belly, allowing the rider the full length of the seat to utilize throughout the ride. A belly on the seat would prevent the rider from coming too far back in the saddle by forcing the upper leg away from the horse as the belly widens. However, WOW's XC Seat allows the rider to sit literally anywhere they need to; even sitting on the literal cantle does not make the rider feel pushed away from the horse's body or center of balance, which is quite useful when attacking the challenging terrain of modern cross-country courses. Having no belly allows the rider to keep their leg in proper contact with the horse's ribcage no matter where they're currently sitting, providing a very secure, very stable position at all times.
