By the late 1990s the Maschinen Krieger brand was back on its feet and new model kits from were starting to arrive on the market. In 2000, Modelkasten released this Gans model that combined original plastic model parts from Nitto with new resin pieces and mixed-media parts like springs and brass rods. While this particular model uses parts from the original Kröte (released in the original wave of SF3D kits in the early '80s), the Gans is not an entry-level plastic model and the mix of materials means that it requires modelers with some experience.
