Teamac Micaceous Iron Oxide is a high-performance protective coating designed to shield structural steel from corrosion in harsh industrial, marine and urban environments. With its matt metallic finish and exceptional anti-corrosive properties, it can be used as a standalone finish or as part of a long-term protective system.

Its iron oxide pigmentation forms a dense, layered barrier that protects against moisture ingress and surface degradation. Ideal for bridges, fire escapes, metalwork, marine superstructures and steel cladding.

Surface Preparation

• Ensure surface is dry, clean and free from grease, rust, dust and oil

• Blast clean to SA 2½ for best results

• If blasting isn’t possible, mechanically abrade to create a suitable key

• Use Teamac Universal Degreaser before preparation

• Ensure corners, bolts, welds and edges are fully cleaned and free from slag or spatter
