Rust-Oleum Dacfill HZ – Quick-Drying Watertight Roof Coating

Rust-Oleum Dacfill HZ is a high-performance, water-based liquid membrane designed to deliver a 100% watertight, seamless, and elastic finish on horizontal roofs. This quick-drying, white coating reflects sunlight to help reduce heat build-up, while resisting UV rays, acid rain, frost, heat, and pollution. With non-flammable, self-extinguishing properties, it’s both safe and long-lasting. Dacfill HZ is easy to apply by brush, roller, or airless spray, making it ideal for professional waterproofing projects.

Surface Preparation

The substrate must be well clean and dry, free from flakes, gravel, dust and dirt. Fill up
joints with Elastofill, and apply one of the
following priming coats:

• On porous concrete, hard PVC and polyester: Primer 44HS
• On very smooth concrete: Noxyde diluted with 25% volume water
• On iron and steel: undiluted Noxyde

Roofing or bituminous materials over 1 year old can be coated directly with Dacfill HZ
depending on its condition. Zinc, galvanised steel, copper, lead and aluminium can be recoated with Dacfill HZ, if required, after degreasing and slight sanding.

Directions for Use

To ensure homogeneity, coating materials should be thoroughly stirred prior to use. Add B component to the A-component while stirring mechanically. It is advised to use the mixed material during the same day. Unroll the Dacfill-mesh on the dry and clean substrate and
fix it to the substrate with a first coat of Dacfill HZ (1 - 1,5 kg/m²) by roller. Mesh
overlappings must be at least 5 cm. After drying, a second coat of Dacfill HZ is to be applied by roller or by airless so that the structure of the mesh is not visible anymore.
