For sale here is a Bill Ballan 2 5/8" fly reel with a nicely engraved fly on the backplate. The reel is in excellent condition. I would classify it as near mint if it weren't for the front plate having a mottled black finish unlike the back plate that has a smooth anodized finish. Purely cosmetic. The reel has a right hand retrieve bias. The clicker is smooth and audibly it sounds very pleasing. The spool is 3/4" wide. The reel weighs 4.35 oz. A nice 4wt trout reel that would pair beautifully with a classic bamboo rod. Includes a felt-lined walnut presentation reel case.
