Although The Designers Republic’s 1999’s landmark DiscoTech album design saw the light of day first, TDR’s first campaign with Sheffield’s Gatecrasher was GC2000, their big millennium event at Don Valley on New Years Eve (partying like it was) 1999. The main thrust of the (super successful) promo campaign was that ultimately, everything about a turn of the century event came down to that one moment just before midnight… Itwillalwaysbewithyou. (Which was kinda influenced by the clock stopping at 11:59 at the end of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’s Watchmen comix series)

This is the original shirt from the night itself, not one of the subsequent reprints. It marks a specific moment in history, and in the beginning of TDR’s adventures with Gatecrasher over the next decade.
