For sale here is an impregnated Orvis Madison 7' 2/1 5wt bamboo rod with a labeled weight of 3 3/8 oz. Serial #60298 made in 1970. The rod is in excellent plus condition. All wraps are sound. Both sections are straight and full length. There is a small dent in the male ferrule but does not in any way affect the fit. Chestnut brown silks. Aluminum down-locking reel seat over Walnut. Cigar grip lightly soiled but in great condition. The rod has a nice medium action. The ferrules are 11/64 and the ferrule fit is good and tight. The rod is described as a 6wt on the bag and tube but a line size down usually works best on these Orvis rods. Original bag and aluminum tube with blue, silver and gold foil label fully intact.
