For sale here is an extremely scarce PD Malloch 3 1/2” diameter alloy extra wide Mahseer fly reel. The face plate is stamped “Made by PD Malloch for TP Luscombe Dehradun” (India) in oval logo. Horn handle, brass pillars and original unmolested reel foot. 2 1/2” overall width. The reel retains virtually all of its original finish. The click/pawl operation is smooth without rubbing. The spring tension is strong enough to prevent spool backlash. This reel comes from the Mark Ross collection and we don't know of another example. Definitely one for the discriminating collector!
