Also known as Swamp Honeysuckle, this lovely deciduous azalea boats long slender funnel-shaped tubular flowers that have an occasional pink accent. These delightfully scented blossoms generally show in summer and into fall, depending on growing conditions. Hummingbirds, butterflies and bees all love this plant!

R. viscosum is a recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society. It has an upright growth habit that reaches around 5' tall at maturity. Like all plants in the rhododendron genus, you will want to plant it in well-draining soil. Place it in full sun to partial shade. Hardy to -20°F when protected from windchill.
