Hard to find in propagation or for sale, Consolini's Windmill is a great hybrid rhododendron with large trusses that burst bountifully with midseason blossoms. The flowers have wavy edges and distinct purplish red edges and exteriors, which come alive against the white interiors. Mature flowers even have an accent of chartreuse bronze that come from the throat on the upper dorsal. If that weren't enough, the blossoms fragrant as well!

These rhododendrons have an upright and somewhat spreading habit that can reach about 6' tall x 6' wide when mature. Place in full sun to partial shade. Hardy to -15°F when protected from windchill. This rhododendron is a unique and fragrant beauty that you aren't likely to find elsewhere.
