For sale here is a 8 1/2 foot impregnated Orvis "Wes Jordan" bamboo rod. 5 1/8 oz. Marked for a 9 line but like most Orvis rods, a line down from this designation works best. Serial #64692. Made in 1972. The rod is in excellent original condition. Darkly tempered cane with lighter areas around the nodes. Caramel translucent wraps are secure and in excellent condition. Cigar grip lightly soiled and features a thumb indentation as well as an indentation for the palm. Aluminum down-locking reel seat with Walnut spacer looks as if it has been used very little, excellent shape. Ferrule size 15/64 with a nice fit. Medium-fast action. Original leather tube and bag. The original owner's name is on the rod as well as inscribed on the bottom of the butt cap. A very nice example of a lovely Orvis taper.
