VINTAGE 1980s Black leather steel toe brogues, by Muro Welt. Chunky platform Rockabilly / Punk shoes, classic detailing long wing brogued detailing, iconic clover shape, "fashion strength" sole, Muro Welts are cult punk / rock n roll classics made in Mexico by Muro. Very heavy shoes the soles are leather with a Dr Marten like sole between where your feet hit the street & the shoe. They will literally last forever! The back of the heels show a bit of wear & is pictured.

Condition: Very good vintage condition, stitching intact, minor scuffs & creases to solid leather. Soles in excellent condition, with heels showing more wear, clean interior.

Muro shoes were coveted, by the alternative entertainment biz in the late 80s, worn by many touring punk bands. Almost all Muro shoes were steel toe or platforms, sturdier than Dr Martens, handmade & quite affordable at the time, but you had to go to Mexico to obtain them. In 87 the little store opened, by 1991 you could find them in specialty stores in major metro areas across the US, by 93 they were gone.
