This necklace is composed of cast and textured sets of leaves and squiggled vines. The colors of the leaves and vines are a subtle difference in gold and silver plating. The tree leaves links measure 1. 5 inches long and link together to hang nicely around your neck. It is a choker size for an average woman's neck at 18 inches, but can adjust down to a smaller neck. It closes with its original hook clasp and chain.

This metal necklace is circa 1950 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time, TARA. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
