This is a gorgeous black Chantilly lace wrap dress with gathered skirt. Circa 1970s in the style of the 1950s fit and flare dresses.

Unlined deep black Chantilly lace with a woven in roses pattern. The white showing through the lace is my mannequin.

Fitted bodice with front and back vertical darts for a flattering fit

The right front wraps over the left front with a scalloped vee neckline.

The nipped defined waist seam closes with a single hook and loop.

The skirt is lightly gathered where it is sewn the the waist seam.

Lovely flaring gathered skirt with scalloped bottom as pictured.

I'm 5'4" and this comes to the bottom of my knee. It may be shorter or longer on you depending on your height.

Wrist length sleeves with a 2-1/2" finished slit accented with a decorative non-functional lace covered domed button.

Comes with a pretty black satin ribbon sash belt to wear tied into a bow as shown.

Unlined. No zippers or buttons.

There are no labels of any kind. This appears to be handmade by a skilled seamstress.

SIZING: There are no size tags. Based on the measurements below, I'd say this would best fit a modern size Small.

MEASUREMENTS - Taken Flat and Unstretched:

Shoulders: 16" - Across

Outer Sleeve: 22-3/4"

Inner Sleeve: 19" - underarm seam to cuff end

Bust: 34/35" - Underarm to Underarm

Waist: 28 (could be adjusted by moving the hook and eye)

Hips: Free

Bodice Length: 15-1/2" - Top of Shoulder to Waist Seam

Skirt Length: 24-1/2" - Waist Seam to Bottom of Skirt

Sweep: 100" Around bottom of skirt

Satin Ribbon Belt: 70" long and 7/8" wide

CONDITION: Excellent - there are no stains, odors, rips, tears, discoloration, fading, snags, pics, or other issues. Clean and ready to wear.

Gorgeous dress perfect for any special occasion on your calendar. A wonderful addition to any vintage wardrobe. Easy to change the look by wearing different colored slips underneath.
