Kids PD Day Sewing Class

PD Days are for doing something actually fun. This Kids PD Day Sewing Class is colourful, creative, and hands-on, with kids spending the day cutting fabric, choosing prints, learning the sewing machine, and making something they’re excited to take home.

This is not a craft table. It’s a real sewing studio, just scaled for kids. Expect creativity, confidence-building, and lots of proud “I made this!” moments.

What they’ll make

Kids will work on a sewing project designed to be finished during the class. Projects are chosen to be fun, doable, and skill-building, with plenty of choice so every project feels personal.

Projects may include:

• Tote bags or drawstring bags in fun prints
• Pencil cases or zipper pouches
• Scrunchies and small accessories
• Beginner sewing projects that build real machine confidence

Projects change each PD Day so kids can come more than once and try something new.

Who this class is for

• School-age kids
• Brand-new beginners and returning sewists
• Kids who can listen, follow steps, and are excited to make things

No sewing experience needed. Big creativity welcome.

What to bring

• Optional: their own sewing machine if they want to learn on it
