Resurrection is pleased to present a Comme des Garçons off-white and black mesh kilt-style skirt from the Fall/Winter 2000–2001 collection, a striking example of Rei Kawakubo’s exploration of hybridity, transparency, and subverted tradition.

Constructed from a sheer, structured mesh, the skirt reimagines the classic kilt through a distinctly avant-garde lens. The wrap silhouette is anchored by two black leather belts with metal buckles at the waist, introducing a utilitarian, almost industrial contrast to the otherwise ethereal textile.

The layered front panel creates subtle dimensionality, with overlapping sections that shift in opacity as the garment moves.
