This off-white or ivory rayon velvet 1980s-does 1940s style cocktail or tilt hat features a curved, forward-tilting crown, adorned at the back with a large, sheer nylon horsehair ruffle and a spray of fabulous feathers! The soft, fluffy feathers are tucked into the ruffle on 3 sides (right, left and back). The chin-length veil creates an air of elegant mystery. Extra veiling at the center back of the hat is gathered beneath the stiff nylon ruffle, lifting it away from the crown a bit. The hat's velvet crown is lined with white lace, and it is labeled André Canadian Hat Montreal Canada. The rounded crown of the hat has a few light marks in its surface/pile, possibly from storage. Also, the texture of the lace lining is somewhat visible on the velvet surface. There are no other issues, and the hat is in very good condition.
