Do I need hood pins with this carbon fiber hood?

Hood pins are required for safe operation. They keep the panel secure at highway speeds and are especially important with lightweight construction. Install them at the factory mounting points on both sides of the hood.

Will this hood work with my existing latch and hinges?

Yes. This is a direct bolt-on replacement that uses the OEM latch and hinge assembly. No modifications to the door jamb or frame are needed.

Should I apply additional clear coat after installation?

The hood comes with a UV-protective clear coat finish. If you want added durability or plan to apply ceramic protection, sand the surface lightly with fine-grit paper and apply your chosen finish. For long-term preservation, a quality automotive clear coat or ceramic coating is recommended.
