This vintage mushroom with lady bug is made of orange and black enamel on a gold plated metal mushroom. The circa 1960 brooch measures 1. 25 inches. The gold plated mushroom has a nice texture etched into it giving it some depth. The spring clasp on the back measures 1 inch. This brooch is in excellent condition.

This brooch is circa 1960 and made by a high end costume jewelry maker of the time. The first half of the 20th century was the heyday for well made costume jewelry sold from fine department stores to Woolworth, usually made in Europe or the United States. The manufacture and quality of costume jewelry deteriorated in the latter part of the century making this era the last with enduring products.
