The Ubiquiti UniFi 48 PoE is a fully managed Layer 2 switch designed to provide expansive port density and reliable power distribution across enterprise, commercial, and educational networks. This 1U rack-mountable unit allows network administrators to consolidate a massive array of network devices—such as IP surveillance cameras, wireless access points, VoIP phone systems, and desktop workstations—into a single central patch frame.

With a total non-blocking switching throughput of 52 Gbps, the switch handles high-volume traffic trunking across all forty-eight copper interfaces simultaneously without data congestion.

High-Density Port Configuration & Uplinks

• Flexible PoE Allocation: Features forty-eight Gigabit RJ45 ports in total. Ports 1 to 32 support auto-sensing 802.3at PoE+ to deliver both high-speed data and electricity over a single network cable, while ports 33 to 48 function as standard non-PoE Gigabit connections for computers, printers, and local network drives.

• 1G Fibre SFP Uplinks: Equipped with four dedicated 1G SFP ports. These interfaces handle high-speed fibre backhaul lines to your core routing hardware, allowing you to daisy-chain multiple switches together across separate floors or network racks.

• Unified Management Platform: Monitored and configured entirely within the UniFi Network application. From this dashboard, you can build separate guest VLANs, manage port isolated safety profiles, configure spanning tree protocols, and power-cycle frozen devices remotely.
