Rust-Oleum Pegakote – Durable Two-Pack Epoxy Floor Paint

Rust-Oleum Pegakote is a two-pack, water-based epoxy floor coating engineered for exceptional durability and resistance in demanding environments. Surface Preparation

The substrate must be dry, clean, and free from rising humidity, with a minimum tensile strength of 15 kg/cm².

Primers:

On tiles or power-floated concrete → use Primer 3333 or 3366.

On normally porous concrete → use Pegakote, diluted up to 10%.

On very porous or heavily abraded concrete → use 5401WB.

Special conditions:

On poly-concrete, curing compounds must be removed by sandblasting or grit blasting.

On new or non-porous concrete, remove cement grout using sandblasting, grit blasting, or Surfa-Etch 108. Always rinse thoroughly and allow surfaces to dry. Alternatively, use 5401WB Epoxy Impregnation Primer.

Important: Pegakote should not be applied on elastic paint coatings or substrates subject to movement.

Directions for Use

Always stir coating materials thoroughly before use to ensure full homogeneity.

Stir the activator with a low-speed electrical mixer.

Gradually add the activator to the base while continuously mixing.

Continue mixing for at least 3 minutes, until the blend achieves a uniform colour and consistency.

The mixed material must reach a minimum temperature of 10°C before application.
