Discover the iconic U.S. Army Liberty trucks, a pioneering effort to standardize military vehicles during the First World War. These historic trucks, particularly the renowned Category B series with a 3-ton capacity, marked a significant advancement in military logistics. Beginning in early 1918, fifteen American companies embarked on producing these vehicles in two distinct series. Characterized by their hood trucks with an open cab design, these vehicles were powered by a 4-cylinder engine and featured a cardon drive rear axle with a worm gear, alongside cast tires. The Series 2 trucks were further enhanced with alloy wheels and acetylene headlights. By the war's end, a total of 9,452 Liberty trucks had been assembled, with 7,600 of these making their way to Europe.
