For sale here is an original and mint condition H.L. Leonard Hunt Model 40-6 bamboo rod -- 8 feet 2/2 for a 6 weight line. Serial no. 8111, made shortly after Tom Maxwell's departure. The plastic wrapping is still on the grip. All sections are full length and straight. Beautiful classic post-fire Leonard Hunt model with garnet wraps. Darkly oxidized ferrules, guides, and tip tops.Tips are marked one and two for convenience. Gradually swelled butt. Cigar grip 6 1/2" in length. Bright up-locking reel seat over a stunning mortised tiger maple spacer, complete with acorn cap. The ferrules are size 15/64 with a perfect fit. The rod weighs 4 5/8 oz. The action is quite swift, on the faster side of medium-fast and with lots of power. Includes original tan canvas bag and original aluminum tube with brass fittings.
