Mandelic Acid 10% + HA is a gentler alpha hydroxy acid for surface skin peeling than other alpha hydroxy acids. Mandelic acid has a molecular weight of 152.1 daltons, which is higher than that of other alpha hydroxy acids (glycolic acid is 76.0 daltons, for example). Because of its greater size, Mandelic Acid penetrates the skin more slowly, making it mild and suited for all skin types. A concentration of more than 10% is sufficient to properly exfoliate the skin.

Contraindications

This product should not be used on skin that is sensitive, peeling, or has been compromised. Please see the directions for more information on sun protection and other cautions.

Directions

Apply once a day, preferably in the evening. To reduce strength, dilute with other treatments until skin develops tolerance. Avoid applying in areas near the proximity of the eyes. The product's contact with the skin should be minimized in both frequency and length. If irritation occurs, discontinue use and seek medical advice. On undamaged skin, use only as advised. It is recommended that you test your product on a patch before using it. Keep out of children's reach.
