Get Pumped Up

Lapras VMAX has virtually unlimited damage potential with its forceful G-Max Pump attack, but it needs plenty of Energy to really crash down hard on its target. That's where Frosmoth comes in—its Ice Dance Ability lets you attach Water Energy from your hand to your Benched Pokémon as often as you like during your turn.

From there, you have a few options to get Lapras VMAX into the Active Spot: You could retreat Frosmoth by discarding two Energy, play a Switch to move Lapras VMAX up, or attach an Air Balloon Tool card to Frosmoth to allow it to retreat for free. No matter which way you go, Lapras VMAX will be ready to soak your opponent.

Sneaky Switch!

Dealing with a foe that spreads a lot of damage around on your side of the battlefield? A Psychic-type duo has the answer. Get Wobbuffet V into the Active Spot and Gengar onto your Bench. Use Gengar's Life Shaker Ability to move all the damage counters from your Benched Psychic-type Pokémon onto Wobbuffet V (but be careful not to go over 210 damage!).

Then, send it all to your opponent's Active Pokémon with Wobbuffet V's Gritty Comeback attack. Turn the tables in an instant with another stunning Pokémon V!

Heavy Metal!

The sharp new Metal Saucer Trainer card can help Metal-type Pokémon claw their way to the top. Attach an Aurora Energy to a Benched Metal-type Pokémon, discarding a basic Metal Energy from your hand to fulfill the requirement. Then, play Metal Saucer to move that Energy from the discard pile onto that Pokémon.

You can even attach one more basic Energy from your hand with the help of the new Bede Supporter card—that's three Energy in one turn! Now a big hitter like Zacian V or Zamazenta V has all the Energy it needs to start doing real damage right away.
