Founded in 1977, BARNSTORMER built its reputation during the height of the Ivy League boom by producing Japanese-made American trad—crafted in factories capable of achieving the same sewing quality and fabric expression as true U.S.-made garments. The outer fabric is a luxurious 100% wool herringbone tweed. Traditionally used in classic British hunting wear, the material is finished with meticulous Japanese craftsmanship, giving it a refined, modern character. It balances durability, a subtle sheen, and an elevated appearance suitable even for business settings.





The interior prioritizes comfort. To reduce the prickliness often associated with wool, a smooth polyester lining is applied from the waist to the thigh. This thoughtful construction ensures effortless movement, allowing you to enjoy the richness of wool without discomfort—even during long hours of wear.





Tailoring that highlights quiet sophistication
The front features double pleats for ease of movement and a relaxed drape. The waistband includes an extended tab closure (“mochidashi”) with an interior button that stabilizes the fit and keeps the waist neatly secured.

A belt loop is positioned at the center of the front waist, allowing the buckle pin to pass through. This prevents the belt from shifting during wear and reflects the polished finishing seen in tailored suiting.



Side hand pockets and narrow double-welt back pockets create a clean, elegant impression. The addition of a classic coin pocket on the front serves as a subtle accent, sharpening the overall balance of the design.
