We are excited to bring you this rare and desirable piece of design history! This lovely refinished desk was created by British designer John Herbert for A. Younger Ltd. 

John Herbert was a British designer active during the 1950s and ‘60s, and was known for his Scandinavian style sideboards and high-end furniture ranges for the British furniture manufacturer A. Younger Ltd. Mr. Herbert became Head of Design for Younger I’m the 1950s and transformed the company into a trailblazing furniture design firm. This desk is the product of that work! 

The desk itself features three drawers with classic brass mid century hardware. The desk is designed to make it appear as if it’s floating above the legs in a very clever design. The top of the desk has been refinished to restore its former glory. This desk does have some remaining imperfections, but these add to the desirability of such a historic piece and do not interfere with its form or function.
