The Roots of the G9
The Miller brothers, founders of the brand, were both passionate golfers. In 1937, they created the original G9 as functional golf wear, drawing inspiration from British Army jumpers. The name “G9” comes from the “G” for golf.

Founded in Manchester, England in 1937 by the Miller brothers, BARACUTA began with innovative rainwear known for its water-repellent and windproof properties. Since the birth of the G9 as a golf jacket, it has become the prototype of what we now call the blouson—an enduring outerwear icon loved worldwide.

The body is made of cotton with a slightly crisp texture, retaining its signature vintage-inspired colors.

Side pockets are secured with buttoned flaps to prevent items from falling out. Inside the left chest is a buttoned patch pocket for added functionality.



The ribbed cuffs provide a comfortable yet secure fit at the wrists. The rib fabric is made from durable polyester and nylon for longevity.
