Elite Engineering Clean-Side Oil Separators are specifically designed to complement oil catch cans. Approximately 90-95% of the oil intake from the intake air charge enters through the "dirty" or "foul" side of the PCV system, while the remaining 5-10% enters the factory "clean" or "fresh" side of the intake air. It enters the tube via backflow. This primarily occurs under acceleration or wide open throttle when the intake manifold vacuum drops to zero and crankcase pressure builds. Our Clean-Side oil separator captures and removes these oil vapors while retaining 100% MAF of measured air. As a result, it improves vehicle performance and fuel efficiency.
