For sale here is a beautiful Payne Model 204 bamboo rod -- 8'6 3/2 for a 5 weight line, weighing 5.1 oz. Rod is in excellent restored condition. All sections are full length and straight. Uplocking reel seat over a gorgeous and un-marred spanish cedar insert. Light chestnut brown thread wraps with black trim with maroon edges at the hook keeper and male ferrules. All original Payne silks and hardware were used in the restoration. Medium action. The ferrules are size 16/64 and 10/64 with a pleasing fit. Includes original Payne bag and tube. The tube has a prior owner's name and town etched on it.
