Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat) is a wireless ceiling-mount heat-only detector designed for indoor residential and light-commercial use. The RB (replaceable battery) variant uses two CR123A batteries (pre‑installed) and communicates securely with Ajax Hubs via the Jeweller protocol. It includes a built-in piezo siren, tamper detection and rapid interconnect with other Ajax detectors for system-wide alarms.

• Heat-only detection (Class A1R thermistors): absolute high temperature (~64°C) and rapid temperature-rise detection.
• Power: 2 × CR123A replaceable batteries (pre‑installed) — typical battery life ~5–7 years depending on settings.
• Built-in siren: up to 85 dB (measured at ~3 m).
• Wireless two‑way Jeweller radio with encryption, frequency-hopping and automatic power control; interconnects via hub and fallback direct detector-to-detector interconnect.
• Tamper detection, SmartBracket ceiling mounting and local test button for commissioning and checks.

Compliance & safety: CE and regional approvals apply; UL/ULC certification is product/region dependent — check the exact part number if UL/ULC is required. This device is intended for indoor use (IP20). Follow local fire-safety guidance and national electrical regulations when installing. Test devices regularly and replace batteries when low. This detector is part of a monitored smart system when paired with an Ajax Hub; it is not a substitute for full commercial fire alarm systems where those are required by regulation.

Installation notes: Mount centrally on the ceiling using the supplied SmartBracket. Do not paint or obstruct the device. For integrated alarm systems or mains-connected fire systems consult a qualified installer or electrician.
