If you only buy one, this is the one for you. How it works In the process of sending crankcase pressure back through the intake track, lots of oil, steam, intake tubes, intake manifold runners, and even gas dilution lower the octane level. This occurs in all engines and is even worse in forced induction vehicles (supercharged and turbocharged) as crankcase pressure increases. To combat this, we have developed an oil separator of our own design. Milled from solid billet aluminum, this is a rock solid piece. The knurled tank base makes it easy to remove used oil and has an O-ring seal to prevent leaks. The filtering includes a fine mesh stainless steel screen that traps fine oil vapors and releases enough weight to fall out. It then passes through a 1/2-inch-thick 1/16-inch aluminum honeycomb filter, grows larger, and falls to the bottom. By the time the oil passes through the filter, it is too heavy to transfer to the intake. The tank holds 3 ounces of fluid, which may not sound like a lot, but you don't want your PCV system to notice that oil. Drain every 5000 – 7000 miles.
