For sale here are a Ross - Gunnison G3 (pre-98) fly reel and spare spool. Made in the USA. The reel in excellent+, near mint condition. There is very light wear to the reel foot as well as an almost unnoticeable knick to the main spool. The spare spool is in mint condition. The reel and spool are a matte black color which was only used prior to 1995. The adjustable drag features almost zero start-up inertia and is maintenance free. Quick-change design for convenient spool changes. Convertable LHW or RHW, currently set-up for RHW. The Gunnison is a true modern classic known for its dependability and ruggedness. Though rated for line weights 5-7 the reel also easily accommodate an 8wt line. The reel comes loaded with backing and WF8F line in like new condition. The spool comes loaded with backing and WF8F/S line in like new condition. The set includes a suede zippered case for the reel and a drawstring suede pouch for the spare spool.
