The 9plus reel from Einarsson is a heavy workhorse engineered to give the fisherman the edge. The silky smooth brake will handle the biggest of Salmon as well as Tarpon in the 100lb plus class, meaning the Einarsson 9Plus reel will match both your double handed rod or heavy single handed rod perfectly. 

Plus reels are engineered and assembled at their factory in Iceland. Einarsson oversees and monitors the entire building process so that they can uphold their ‘highest quality’ standards. Carbon fibre discs are made in the USA, drawn cup clutch bearings are made in Germany and the chrome steel ball bearings are made in Japan.

Plus reels are Type III Hard Anodized because type III is a superior coating for an outdoor product. Unlike the Type II anodizing used on 99% of all reels made, Type III can be applied to an extreme thickness with a bullet hard coating. All Einarsson's reels are anodized in one of the most advanced anodizing company in Northern Europe. Type III is in accordance with to DS/EN 12373 Class 1

The drag package is a combination of materials that ensure a silky smooth drag that retains constant force at all settings.

The aluminum parts of Einarsson reels are machined out of 6061 T6 to ensure strength and stability for a lifetime of hard use. Main frame and spools are forged. Main shaft material is made using saltwater proof stainless steel.

Freshwater, saltwater or sand...it all works since the brake system is of course completely sealed and maintenance free!
