* Stencil dyeing is a dyeing and weaving technique that has been passed down in Japan since ancient times.
It is a technique of dyeing cloth or Japanese paper using shibu-stencil paper with carved patterns and dye-resistant paste.
The patterns are created by carving stencils made from Japanese paper and persimmon tannins with a sword, and are characterized by sharp lines and clear shapes.
