This fully illustrated 78-card deck gives a new radiance and depth to the most cherished, popular tarot deck in the world. Includes booklet. The Radiant Rider-Waite is a new version of the popular Rider-Waite deck. Artist Virginijus Poshkus has re-drawn and re-coloured the original card images by artist Pamela Colman Smith. The main difference between the two decks is that Radiant features rich, vibrant colours without the black-line shading typical of the Rider-Waite. Colour choices match for the most part, though the Radiant's colours are deeper. Radiant emphasizes the aura highlights on the aces and other cards with this effect. In its style, this new deck more closely resembles the Universal Waite, but the colours in that deck are soft and mild. The faces on some cards in the Radiant deck also seem less idealized, and more individual.
