Having examined and integrated music from Turkey, Japan, and
other places, on his earlier albums, "Late Again" sees Sven mining
the sounds of peak-era David Axelrod or, even more closely, the
Stringtronics library LP from Nino Nardini, Roger Roger and others.
With downbeat drums adorned with deft brushwork, lush
strings and mercurial flute, it's a languid, dreamy,
soundtrack-ish affair of the highest order.
