What is Spindle Bobbin Crash Protection?

Fitted to protect the expensive swing arm, EP Rear Spindle Bobbins for the 1390 Super Duke R features a single crash bobbin for the driveline side of the motorcycle. The bobbin is fabricated from a nylon outer with an additional aluminium inner offering further robust protection. The nylon slider is designed to rotate on impact to reduce stress on the wheel. On the opposite side, an attractive orange-anodised hub stop guards the end of the through-spindle.
