Blue refabric
Rooted in Japan’s high-quality textiles and a commitment to precise craftsmanship. Originally developed as a ROCOCO exclusive line for JAPAN BLUE JEANS, the brand is relaunched in 2026 under the name “Blue refabric.”

Production is centered around partner factories of JAPAN BLUE JEANS. “Blue refabric” is a coined term combining “Blue”—representing Japanese denim—and “Refabric,” a blend of “Republic” and “Fabric.” Inspired by the idea of a “Blue Republic,” the brand honors Japan’s rich textile culture while offering garments that quietly elevate the individuality of the wearer.

Crafted primarily from premium denim sourced in Okayama, each piece is carefully made in trusted factories across Japan. The designs strike a balance between minimalism and strength, bringing out the natural character and texture of the fabric. From Japan—a nation of textiles—to the world, Blue refabric presents a new standard shaped by respect for Japanese craftsmanship.

Refined fabric with comfort and elegance
The fabric is a stretch twill blend of cotton and polyester. It is mercerized before dyeing to achieve a subtle sheen and rich, vibrant color. It also features a subtle heathered effect created by the difference in dye uptake between cotton and polyester.



The fabric is produced by “COLLECT,” a textile manufacturer within the Japan Blue Group. It is woven in Ibara City, Okayama—an area known for its denim heritage—and dyed in Kojima, reflecting the quality and craftsmanship of Japanese textiles.





The front features a zip fly, along with a watch pocket and welt pockets for a clean finish.



Inspired by U.S. military officer trousers, only the left back pocket is finished with a flap.

The right side features a welt pocket, creating a well-balanced back silhouette. The outer seam is finished with an open seam with overlocked edges, while the inner seam is overlocked and pressed to one side with edge stitching, ensuring durability for heavy use.



A label on the inside signifies that the garment was produced at a partner factory of JAPAN BLUE JEANS.

A refined tapered silhouette that is neither too slim nor too wide. With a slightly relaxed fit through the hips and thighs and a gentle taper toward the hem, it delivers a clean look while maintaining comfort.
