There is a touch of wood present on the otherwise densely fruited, spicy and overtly floral nose of black berry, earth and anise aromas. The exceptionally rich, powerful and prominently muscular broad-shouldered flavors possess an impressive concentration of dry extract that imparts a velvety texture to the long, serious and strikingly long finish. But what makes this wine so impressive is just the sheer complexity and at least at this early juncture, it is easily the most complex wine in the range. (92-95)/2022+
