Teamac Hull Blacking is a high-quality, bitumen-based coating formulated to protect the hulls of narrowboats, cruisers and inland waterway vessels. Designed to resist water ingress and corrosion, this coating provides a tough, flexible barrier ideal for below-the-waterline applications.

Suitable for use on steel, wood and cast iron, Teamac Hull Blacking can be applied without the need for a primer or undercoat. For maintenance or recoating, it must only be overcoated with other bitumen-based systems to avoid bleeding or compatibility issues.

Surface Preparation

• Surfaces must be dry, clean and free from grease, rust, oil and loose paint

• Sand new wood to provide a suitable key

• Existing coatings must be abraded to a matt finish and thoroughly cleaned

• Remove all flaking or degraded material

• Mix product thoroughly before use
