Being offered for sale is the vintage "HIGH EXPLOSIVES DANGEROUS" 50 LB CRATE of "60% STRENGTH", "SPECIAL GELATIN" by "DUPONT EXPLOSIVES" (with 1/3 of original lid, still nailed in place), from circa the early -to- mid 20th century (best guess), as seen in the pictures/as described in the title. Good/Very Good vintage condition with minor -to- moderate overall wear (i.e. scuffs, scratches, stains, splits, cracks, dings, dents, etc.) but remains structurally rigid & strong. Large split thru one of the bottom boards (see last four pics). That area is a little weak but again, remains structurally solid. Features 1/3 of original lid still nailed in place. Significant color fade to the red DUPONT logos but the black markings remain clearly visible and easy to read. All-in-all, a nice example of a great old crate! See pics.
