Specifications

Preparation

• Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and free from dirt and grease to ensure proper adhesion.
  
• For grey or weathered wood, sand back to a clean, smooth surface.
  
• For bare wood, treat knots or resinous deposits with a stain blocker or knotting solution.
  
• Abrade previously painted surfaces to enhance adhesion and remove loose or flaking paint.
  
• Fill gaps, cracks, or holes with a suitable exterior filler; for wood, we recommend Polycell Trade Woodflex Polyfilla Filler.
  
• Apply a suitable metal primer on bare metal surfaces.
  

Application

• Do not apply if rain is expected or if temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C. Conduct a test patch to ensure satisfactory results.
  
• Stir well and apply with a brush.
  
• Apply evenly, avoiding over-spreading.
  
• Allow to dry for 16 hours before applying Sandtex 10 Year Exterior Satin or Gloss.
