This workshop is for those of you who love Christmas even in the middle of winter! Dust off your Christmas jumpers and earrings and come along to Katie's studio to make your very own pottery Christmas tree/s. Katie will have her Christmas playlist on and you'll be sculpting your trees to the sweet sounds of Mariah Carey and Michael Bublé. 

Your sculptures will make the perfect center piece for your table, shelf or coffee table. A piece of Christmas art that you can keep forever and bring out each year to celebrate the holiday. You can choose to either make one tree will be approx. 15cm tall or use your clay to make multiple small trees.

You will learn how to make coils of clay and stack these coils on top of each other to create your tree. You can also add holes to your tree so that when you put a tealight candle underneath it, it will glow. 

Katie will have different coloured glazes for you to choose from. 

This workshop is designed for beginners and is set in a relaxed studio environment. Katie loves to encourage creativity and no two pieces made in her class are the same.

Your tree will be out of the kiln and ready to collect in 6 weeks time.

This workshop is suitable for ages 12+

When? Saturday July 11th, 10am-1pm

Where? Katie's pottery studio, located inside the Kaiapoi Mill, 35 Ranfurly Street, Kaiapoi.

What to bring? An apron if you have one.

Sometimes pottery can crack in the kiln, if this happens to your tree unfortunately we can not offer a refund for the class. The best part of the experience is the class itself.
