This Glockenspiel Xylophone is finely tuned and has clear, pure overtones. Its clear, spherical tones create a lovely sound experience. 

The note names are engraved on the brass bars for easy recognition by children or adults, that are still learning music notation. The notes span the full octave from C to C without any sharps or flats (C, D, E, F, G, A, B, C) on the diatonic (Western) scale. 

The base is very stable, with cork feet to prevent sliding and improve resonance. This is a beautifully made glockenspiel and features smooth maple wood, featuring crystal clear tones. Although it is designed for a children ages 3+ to use, the quality of materials and sound is representative of something that elevates it from the level of a "toy" to that of a musical instrument to be cherished and cared for, and which will offer a child the right kind of auditory experience.
