This treasured kettle has an art nouveau style lid featuring abstract petals.  The lid also carries a delicate brass finial and is set-off by a brass surround.  The kettle has been much loved, used and repaired - see images - with both the handle attachment and spout having been mended at some stage.   It remains a very pretty piece and has a good weighty base which would ensure it is most effective when heating water.
