For sale here is a classic Hardy Bros. - Fibalite 7'6" 5wt 2 pc. fiberglass fly rod. Serial no. G/D. Made in 1976. The rod is in excellent+ condition. Dark brown sanded glass blank with tangerine wraps and burgundy tipping. Bright guides. All lettering and decals on the rod remain clean, bold and free of defect. Bronzed, ring hook keeper. Cigar grip 6" in length. the grip is only lightly soiled and void of chips, dents, or hook gouges. Bright aluminum cap and ring reel seat with a cork spacer. The seat is free of scratches or other defects. On the buttcap a stamp reads. "Made by HARDY'S England". The features spigot ferrules which help to more efficiently transfer energy through the sections for a smoother cast. The ferrule fit is excellent with spacer between the sections to allow for wear over time. Includes original ferrule plug for the female tip section. The action is medium-fast, a bit faster than most glass rods of this era. The rod has a great balance of backbone and sensitive tips. A true all around trout rod. Includes original bag. No tube.
