Preparation

• Always ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any material that may affect adhesion.
  
• For porous surfaces, apply one coat of Sandtex Trade High Cover Smooth Masonry paint diluted with up to 40% clean water as a primer.
  
• Abrade previously painted gloss surfaces to provide a key.
  
• Remove loose or flaking material by scraping or brushing with a stiff-bristled brush.
  
• Eliminate any organic growth by applying Sandtex Fungicidal Wash according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  
• Treat porous or chalking surfaces with Sandtex Trade Stabilising Solution before applying Sandtex Trade High Cover Smooth Masonry paint.
  

Application

We always recommend performing a test patch on the surface to ensure you are satisfied with the results.

• Stir well and intermix packs in a larger container for colour consistency.
  
• For maximum durability, apply two coats of Sandtex Trade High Cover Smooth Masonry paint, allowing 3-5 hours between each coat.
  
• Apply using a 4-inch brush, exterior roller, or airless sprayer.
  
• Do not apply when there is a risk of rain, frost, or if the temperature will fall below 8ºC during application and drying.
  
• Always follow the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
