Description

The Explore Scientific G400 Series waterproof binoculars are excellent all-purpose binoculars for nature lovers, sports enthusiasts and adventurers of all types. Each G400 binocular model delivers bright images filled with crisp details through a combination of fully multi-coated lenses and Bak4 prisms with highly reflective dielectric coatings. The 8x42 binocular offers the widest field of view — 394 feet at 1000 yards — in the G400 series, making it an ideal choice for tracking moving targets like birds and small animals.

The 42mm aperture brings in lots of light without adding bulk and the 8x magnification delivers crucial details. It also has a close focus range of 2 meters, which is perfect for birdwatching and other activities where you want to get detailed views of near subjects. To help eyeglass wearers take full advantage of the brilliant views, the 8x42 binocular has a generous 17.5mm eye relief.

For all-weather performance, each G400 binocular has optical tubes that are purged with and inert gas and sealed to create an internal environment that is waterproof and impervious to fog and contamination from dirt and debris. Each also has a streamlined roof prism design and protective armor with textured sides for a solid grip.

Additional amenities include twist-up eyecups for comfortable viewing, diopter adjustment capability to ensure both eyes achieve proper focus and a tripod thread socket for attaching the device to a user-supplied tripod adapter and tripod when extra stability is desired. Each binocular comes with a case, strap, lens covers and a cleaning cloth.
