The Iconic Non-Denim "STA-PREST"
Born in Tennessee in 1964, the STA-PREST was developed by Levi's to cater to the need for crease-resistant slacks in the U.S. As washing machines became widespread, there was a demand for slacks that would remain wrinkle-free even after washing and drying. The durable center press and wrinkle resistance made it a staple for American teens.
